Company Announcement - Aurecon is proud to announce the appointment of a new manager to head up its operations in the Western Cape. Coenie Fick, who has been appointed to the role of Delivery Centre Manager: Cape Town with immediate effect, replaces Ferdi Nell who will now fulfil the role of Managing Director: Africa, tasked with integrating the company’s operations across the African continent.
Fick, whose career with Aurecon began in 1986, is a professionally registered civil engineer with 29 years of experience in the fields of luxury resort, residential, industrial and general land infrastructure developments and has worked extensively on projects throughout Angola, Botswana, South Africa and Vietnam. Appointed as the Regional Manager: Western Cape in July 2008, Fick has more recently been fulfilling the role of Market Director: Land Infrastructure.
“Fick brings to the table a unique blend of technical experience, combined with a strong ability to successfully manage people and project resources toward meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations,” comments Albert Geldenhuys, Managing Director: RSA.
Says Fick of his new appointment: “I am committed to building on the legacy of my predecessor and ensuring Aurecon achieves its aspirations of becoming future ready, proudly South African and an agent for change, by continuing to provide our clients and business partners with engineering, management and specialist technical solutions differentiated by client service excellence and a professional team which is engaged, vibrant and culturally diverse”.
