From Creamer Media in Johannesburg, this is the Real Economy Report.

Sashnee Moodley:

A joint venture between Hencon, Altecrete and South African Mining and Smelting Solutions has led to the launch of a self-propelled, underground articulated, all-wheel drive, volumetric concrete mixing vehicle. Natasha Odendaal has the story.

Natasha Odendaal:

The Hencon Altecreter was the outcome of the successful collaboration between Hencon and Altecrete to bring the mining industry a solution for high volume, on demand, mechanised batch mixing and the delivery of sprayed concrete for structural tunnel support.

South African Mining and Smelting Solutions will be providing full after sales support and maintenance for the machine which is used for the application of the super strong Minecrete.

Hencon Mining CEO Karel Gerretsen:

Natasha Odendaal:

As the product is quick drying, it presented a challenge with the delivery of sprayed concrete for structural tunnel support.

Altecrete MD Gavin Borejszo:

Natasha Odendaal:

The plan is to start manufacturing the Hencon Altecreter in South Africa, with preparations under way to extend existing facilities to incorporate the new machine.

Hencon Mining CEO Karel Gerretsen:
