Project Description
The GPPP is based on a standalone advanced graphite processing plant, which will source feedstock from third-party producers.

The project will be developed in successive stages.

Stage 1 will entail the construction of a qualification plant, with a capacity of about 1 000 t/y of products to verify whether product specifications can be met.

During Stage 2, the qualification plant will be scaled up to a commercial-scale plant, with a capacity of 20 000 t/y of products. Stage 3 will further expand to about 50 000 t/y.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
The project has an after-tax net present value, at a 10% discount rate, of A$708-million to A$958-million and an internal rate of return of 35% to 49%, with a payback of two years from full commercial production.

Capital Expenditure
A capital investment of about A$27-million will be required for Stage 1 and A$135-million for Stage 2 and A$153-million for Stage 3.

Planned Start/End Date
Development is expected to start in the first half of 2020.
