Project Description
The GNA 1 LNG-fired combined-cycle power plant will be one of the most efficient thermal power plants in Latin America.
It is the first phase of the Açu Gas Hub, a project under development in the Port of Açu Complex to provide a logistics solution for the reception, processing, consumption and transportation of natural gas from Campos and Santos Basins, as well as import and store LNG.
The project entails the construction for a turnkey combined-cycle power plant, with a 1.3 GW capacity. GNA 1 will be capable of supplying power for up to four-million people.
The project includes an LNG import and regasification terminal, a substation and a transmission line to connect the plant to the grid.
