Project Description
The project entails the construction of Africa’s first dedicated gigawatt battery storage manufacturing plant.

The new 12 500 m² light industrial plant will include a 10 250 m² warehouse, 2 200 m² of office space and a 250 m² showroom.

Solar MD currently produces about 120 batteries a year, with plans to increase manufacturing up to 300 batteries a year once the new facility is operational.

Potential Job Creation
Solar MD’s staff component will increase from 120 employees to 240 with the construction of the plant.
