The Southern African Vinyls Association (SAVA) is pleased to welcome Greiner Extrusion – a leading supplier of extrusion lines, toolings, and turnkey facilities for profile extrusions, as the latest member to join this non-profit industry association for the local vinyls industry.
Although Greiner Extrusion operates from its head office in Austria, Gerhard Hoffmann (Head of Product Design & Innovations) said joining SAVA was an important step in their strategy to expand and grow the uPVC window and door market in Southern Africa.
“In Europe and around the world, uPVC windows are increasingly the preferred choice when it comes to renovated or new buildings. Apart from the fact that have an exceptional long and durable lifespan (minimum of 50 years) and are 100% recyclable, these windows and doors are also incredibly energy efficient, do not warp, rot or require sanding or painting, offer increased stability and security and provide clear cost advantages compared to timber or aluminium frames. We are excited to see that in South Africa, consumers are recognising the many long term benefits afforded to them when investing in good quality uPVC windows and doors. By joining SAVA we want to demonstrate our commitment to helping grow this market, but we also want to contribute towards promoting and protecting the vinyls local industry,” Hoffman says.
