Gemini offshore wind park project.

Location
The project is located in the Dutch North Sea, in the Netherlands.

Client
Northland Power (60%), Siemens (20%), Van Oord (10%) and HVC (10%).

Project Description
Gemini is one of the largest offshore wind parks in the world. It has a 600 MW capacity, comprising 150 turbines, each with a 4 MW capacity.

The project will provide electricity for about 785 000 households. It will also cut carbon dioxide emissions by 1.25-million tonnes a year. The project also features a pair of 220 kV export cables that reach 85 km to the coast of Groningen.

Jobs to Be Created
The project is expected to provide more than 500 jobs and an additional 75 to 100 operational jobs over the coming years.

€2.8-billion.
