FRV Jordan One solar photovoltaic (PV) plant project, Al-Maraq governate, Jordan.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of a solar PV plant with a nominal capacity of 50 MW alternating current and a peak capacity of about 65 MW direct current.

The plant will be built with polycrystalline PV modules and single-axis trackers to maximise the yearly energy yield.

The plant is expected to be connected to the existing National Electric Power Company’s 33/132 kV substation, 5 km from the project.

The facility will be connected by 5 km of 33 kV underground cables for evacuation to the grid.

The project is estimated at $95-million.

Duration
Construction is expected to be carried out over 12 months.
