Project Description
The project will augment the water supply to Adelaide and provide reliable bulk water supply for new irrigation development for resource-poor farmers.
The project involves the construction of a large storage dam on the Koonap river at the Foxwood site, with a 55-million-cubic-metre capacity, an abstraction system, a pumpstation and a pipeline to pump water to the existing water treatment works, as well as associated irrigation infrastructure.

About R2.2-billion. Funding has not yet been secured. The DWS will apply to the Budget Facility for Infrastructure, in the National Treasury, for funding.
