Find the best integrated gas and welding solutions at Nampo 2019

Afrox, Africa’s leading gases and welding solutions partner, will be showcasing its integrated range of services and solutions for the agricultural sector at Nampo 2019, including the very latest cutting, heating and welding equipment and consumables, as well as tailormade gas solutions and technical support services for the farming community. Afrox has served the needs of the agricultural sector for more than 80 years, and continues to develop innovative products and services that increase productivity, lower production costs, and improve quality.
Johann Pieterse, Business Manager for Manufacturing Industries at Afrox, says that the company will be highlighting its 360° Integrated Customer Application Solutions and Safety Solutions programmes at this year’s Nampo. “Our Integrated Customer Application Solutions aim to understand customers’ application challenges, and propose effective solutions that include selecting the most appropriate high quality Afrox gases, welding consumables and equipment into a package that is best fit for the application,” says Pieterse. “An optimised welding procedure is then developed for each application, and Afrox will also undertake any necessary upskilling or training of staff to optimise the new solution if required,” he adds.
Once fully operational, Afrox provides ongoing support and maintenance to the project to ensure the proposed saving and increased productivity and quality promises are met.
Pieterse says that Afrox is the only company extending this 360-degree capability to customers across South Africa, identifying opportunities to assist customers by implementing complete solutions, and providing full back-up and support.
“Visitors to the stand will be able to talk to our welding application specialists at Nampo about their applications and possible solutions, but we also encourage customers that are interested in obtaining more detailed information about the 360-degree capability to visit the Afrox technology application centre in Germiston after the show, where customised applications and/or training can be facilitated more comprehensively,” says Pieterse.
Visitors can also look forward to interactive welding displays on the Afrox stand, and have the opportunity to test the welding machines and equipment. In addition, Afrox application specialists and the 2018 SAIW Welder of the Year winners will be performing live welding demonstrations showcasing MMA, TIG and MIG welding for farming applications.
A major attraction on the Afrox stand at last year’s show, the Welder of the Day competition will once again give visitors the chance to test their welding skills in knock-out rounds to compete for top welding honours. The best welder each day will walk away with the fantastic prize of a new Afrox welding machine, welding helmet and a pack of Vitemax welding electrodes.
Exclusive show-only promotions on commonly used products in the farming environment will include Vitemax, Afrox’s leading premium electrode for mild steel applications, and the Afrox exclusive Agrigas and Porta range of gas cylinders, giving farmers the option of acquiring a cylinder without paying any rental fees.
This range consists of the PortaPak® oxygen and acetylene cylinders as well as the Portashield® (shielding gas suitable for MIG welding) and PortaTIG® (shielding gas suitable for TIG welding) cylinders.
Customers purchasing items on promotion at the show can take advantage of the ‘pay and collect’ service and collect their purchases from their nearest Afrox branch at their convenience.
The Afrox range of gases, welding and cutting equipment, together with associated consumables, is available through the Afrox online shop
co-ops, certain local distributors and Afrox retail outlets in the region. Agrigas is exclusively available via approved co-ops.
