Failsafe Fire Projects, founded in 1996, is a South African company providing customers with fire detection and suppression solutions, specialising in heavy industry and the mining sector.  Our system represents quality and reliability and we are known for our robustness in some of the harshest environments.

With the motto “Safety never takes a day off”, Failsafe Fire Projects actively seeks solutions for difficult and complex fire hazards, while engineering suitable fire detection and suppression systems.

The excellence of the Failsafe Firefox vehicle fire suppression system is due to various controls and devices unique to the Failsafe product.  We have a unique mechanical device whereby each cylinder can be tested mechanically, including the pressure gauge without any loss of pressure.  This device also allows for the safe lock-out of the suppression system when the vehicle undergoes maintenance.

Our FireFox range of heavy-duty vehicle fire suppression systems is specifically engineered for fires initiated in engine compartments, including turbochargers, transmissions, hydraulic areas and brakes.  Outside of mining, the firm also operates in market sectors such as forestry, agriculture and construction.  In addition to the vehicle systems, we offer detection and suppression for industrial machinery, such as motor control rooms, server rooms and conveyors.

We also offer an in-house developed GPS-enabled fire panel that can specifically monitor the integrity of a fire system remotely using internet or e-mail functionality.

Failsafe Fire Projects takes great pride in the training of customers’ machine operators, using a training rig which allows for live demonstrations.  This ensures operators have the knowledge and expertise to activate systems in often high-stress times of need.

We back-up our systems with a comprehensive service schedule and repairs are done quickly and efficiently.  Past experience has shown a minimum of a 3 monthly inspection service is required to ensure effectiveness and reliability.

Manufacturing is done locally by a few appointed professional suppliers thereby keeping our prices very competitive.  We are successful because our system is designed and built for a wide range of harsh environmental conditions.  We support local businesses and carry stock for servicing and re-charging of the systems.

Alternatively we also represent the Firedetec brand which is fully imported and offers a foam solution.

Failsafe Fire Projects has a long list of blue chip customers whom have enjoyed the peace of mind in partnership with FFP.

Installing the correct fire detection and suppression system ensures protection of assets, the reduction of downtime and most importantly the saving of operators’ lives.
