Civil engineering and construction group Esorfranki would, from January 20, start trading under its new name, Esor.

Following the processing and acceptance of the new name by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission, Esor announced that the last day of trade under the former name would be January 17.

The group, which changed its name from Esor to Esorfranki in 2009 to reflect its largest subsidiary and reinforce the Franki brand, announced in October 2013 that it would revert to its original listed name of Esor to comply with the requirements of a sales agreement in respect of Esorfranki Geotechnical.

The group had sold Esorfranki Geotechnical to ground engineering specialist Keller Holdings for R500-million in cash.
