Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 2 500 ℓ/s seawater desalination facility to ensure continued water supply and sustain operations at the Escondida mine, in Chile.

It will include two pipelines, four high-pressure pump stations, a reservoir at the mine site and high-voltage infrastructure to support the system.

The new desalination facility will minimise the companies’ reliance on the region’s aquifers, which will help them meet their environmental commitments and enable them to achieve their long-term business strategy.
