The Elvey Group (a division of the Hudaco Group of Companies) is relinquishing its distributorship of the Technoswitch brand. “We have enjoyed a fruitful and mutually beneficial relationship with Technoswitch since our appointment as a distributor in August 2021,” Tasha Smith, Sales and Marketing Director for the Elvey Group, points out. “Our dissolution of the distributor agreement is amicable, and we have mutually agreed to supply Technoswitch solutions into any existing specified projects. We look forward to working alongside them in the fire industry in the future,” says Smith.

“We experienced Elvey as a professional company and enjoyed working with them ,” says Brett Birch, Managing Director of Technoswitch. “We part ways on good terms and Elvey will continue to receive our full support on all existing Technoswitch projects.

Deon van Zyl, Managing Director of Brigit, explains that the strategic alignment with Elvey Group will expand the Elvey Group’s range of solutions that is supplied into multiple verticals in South and sub-Saharan Africa including, but not limited to, Security, Retail, Retail Banking and Mining. He believes the culture fit aligns well and Elvey Group’s value adding, and solutions mindset will complement the business relationship. Smith explains that this provides the Group’s network of 19 Elvey branches in South Africa and its local and exports projects division Pentagon, with fire solutions that are both sourced internationally and developed locally, with the strong research and development capabilities Brigit brings.

Brigit Fire is a South African group that offers ‘One Source Total Fire Protection’ that includes fire detection, fire containment protection, and fire suppression systems. The company distributes several products that it has developed itself, together with leading international brands, throughout sub–Saharan Africa. Brigit will form a separate division within the Hudaco Group, with existing staff members remaining as employees.

Smith emphasises that the smooth transition from the Technoswitch range to the Brigit Fire range of solutions will be given the highest priority to ensure that it is as seamless as possible for customers.
