A new generation of concrete stripper assures a reduced impact on health, safety and the environment, compared to traditional cleaning solutions such as hydrochloric acid and nitric acid.

Good housekeeping on a construction site is essential, especially when working with cement and ready-mix concrete. It is critical to keep surrounding areas free from spills and build-up, as well as keeping equipment and tools clean, to ensure optimal functionality.

CHRYSO Green Decap 200 is a new generation concrete stripper designed for easy cleaning of all equipment and surfaces, where both hardened cementitious and ready-mix concrete residues need to be effectively removed.

The synthetic concrete stripper dissolves nearly 15% more hardened cementitious based paste than extremely aggressive substances such a nitric acid and hydrochloric acid. The special formulation is particularly suited for use where cement and concrete spills and stains need to be removed, without damaging surfaces such as paintwork, chrome, coated steel, plastic, aluminum, glass or insulated wiring.

The stripper can be applied with a brush or a spray and is typically left to react for 10 minutes before washing the surface or equipment with clean water. The operation may need to be repeated several times, to remove stubborn residues or stains.

CHRYSO Green Decap 200 aims to ensure that unsightly cementitious-based spills and stains do not affect concrete-based projects, while keeping tools and equipment clean and functional. The product can also be used to remove laitance and as a final cleaning of exposed aggregate surfaces.

The concrete stripper is an additional offering in CHRYSO Southern Africa’s product range, designed to optimise the placing, performance and aesthetics of concrete.
