Project Description
The project concerns the expansion and upgrade of Dubrovnik Airport. The Dubrovnik airport development includes:
• the construction of the new seasonal terminal;
• a new office building;
• a catering building and open or covered catering facilities;
• closed facilities and workshops for maintenance and operation;
• closed facilities and workshops for maintenance, operations and ground equipment;
• a new garage-technical block buildings, including the fire protection service;
• a new garage-technical block “east”, planned underneath the east apron;
• a new garage-technical block “west”, planned underneath the artificial green hill;
• a new airport landfill and solid-waste management plant;
• integration of the existing passenger terminals into the new environment;
• the construction of the new commercial aviation terminal – VIP/CIP terminal, in the east apron zone;
• a general aviation hangar;
• a housing hangar for domestic operators located at the airport, with their own maintenance and operations premises;
• the construction of a public garage, with a capacity of about 500 parking spaces at the current open-parking area for visitors;
• the construction of a new aviation fuel tank, including construction of an underground pit system for fuel filling for 29 aircraft positions;
• two new internal gas stations for the airport purposes – landside and airside;
• the reconstruction of the substation;
• the reconstruction of facades for energy efficiency;
• the installation of solar systems; and
• the connection of the Cavtat sewerage system.
