Dovetail Business Solutions is proud to announce that it, in conjunction with Triton Express, was presented with a silver award at the 2013 Logistics Achiever Awards, hosted on September 18 at Monte Casino.

Finalists of the 2013 LAA included multi-national companies, such as Sasol, Shell, Joy Global Africa and JSE listed mining giant Exxaro. Dovetail submitted a joint entry with its client Triton Express, focusing on the companies’ joint mission of crossing borders into Southern Africa. Triton aimed to supply the best distributions services into neighboring countries and to use the latest technology to maximise productivity in those regions.

The IT systems used by Triton Express to ensure the realisation of crossing boarders into Africa, were modelled on Dovetail’s South African IT systems and the best of breed solutions were used to ensure excellent service delivery. To date, this mission has proved successful, ensuring 65 new jobs in six new Triton branches In Southern Africa, an increase in service levels for a Namibian partner from 42 % to 97 % and four of Triton’s cross-border branches have shown profitability within the first 12 months of operation.

Further, one of Dovetail’s long standing clients, Savino Del Bene, was awarded a platinum award at the LAA. “Dovetail is very proud of this achievement as well as the achievements reached by its clients. We hope to continue achieving great things which will positively impact logistics industries across Africa,” concludes Dovetail MD Tony Davis.
