Doray reports record production at Andy Well
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Australian gold miner Doray Minerals reported record production from its Andy Well mine, in Western Australia, during the quarter ended June 30.
The miner told shareholders on Thursday that Andy Well produced 28 180 oz of gold during the three-month period, taking full-year production to 88 736 oz, a 15% increase on the first year of production.
“We started the second year of production knowing we had some challenges to overcome at Andy Well. As a result of the determined efforts of our workforce, we outperformed expectations, including making consistent improvements in our operating costs,” said Doray MD Allan Kelly.
Since starting production, Doray has increased the size of the high-grade Stage 2 openpit, outlined a third high-grade openpit at the Suzie deposit and launched and completed a takeover offer of Mutiny Gold.
At the end of the quarter, Doray had A$28.7-million cash on hand.
