Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 20 MW alkaline water electrolysis plant to produce green hydrogen at CF Industries’ Donaldsonville manufacturing complex – the biggest ammonia manufacturing complex in the world.
The carbon-free hydrogen generated by the electrolysis plant will be integrated into existing ammonia synthesis loops to enable the production of 20 000 t/y of green ammonia. When complete, the Donaldsonville green ammonia project will be the biggest of its kind in North America.
