Engineering and project-focused company, DemcoTECH Engineering has seen an upturn in business in the two years following the Covid lockdown, with a number of local and global project awards.

These range from the installation of the DemcoTECH AeroConveyor™ for a titanium mining operation in Mozambique, to the plant assessment and implementation of the recommendations for a fertiliser distribution and storage facility in South Africa. The successful detailed design of a sinter plant in South Africa, led to the award of a second project for a ferrochrome sinter plant in Malaysia.

DemcoTECH has also seen good progress in major global projects, including the recently completed stockpile and ship loading system for the sulphur handling system for the RAPID project and associated facilities in Malaysia. Also in Malaysia, work completed includes a multi-billion dollar 200 mtpa iron ore import/blending/export terminal, where DemcoTECH, acting as the client’s engineer for the import and export systems, provided FEL 1, 2, 3 & 4 engineering and support services.

The design and engineering of a limestone washing, sorting and materials handling plant for Idwala Carbonates in South Africa, completed together with Kantey & Templar, is now in the execution stage.

DemcoTECH is also supplying long term engineering and technical support to an established company in India. Servicing the power generation, cement, mining, metallurgical, manufacturing and port hand-ling industries, DemcoTECH provides bulk materials handling solutions, from run-of-mine tip to ship loading, including all conveyor options, stockyard equipment, design and simulation modelling. Offering a complete service from conceptual design and feasibility studies through to design, implementation, and comprehensive after-market support, DemcoTECH is one of the few bulk materials handling specialists also able to provide a full suite of operational readiness services.

DemcoTECH’s comprehensive range of advanced conveying technologies range from the troughed, air-supported aero-conveyor and pipe conveyors through to stacking, shuttle, mobile and grasshopper conveyors, and feeders. Its extensive track record in the turnkey supply of belt conveyors includes downhill, extendable and inclined systems, while a full range of supporting and auxiliary equipment is provided. This includes trippers, stackers and load-out equipment. Turnkey multistream sampling plants are also designed and supplied as well as niche process plants.
