Project Description
The DanTysk offshore wind farm will be situated 70 km west of the island of Sylt and directly on the German-Danish border.
It will be one of the first large-scale offshore wind farms ever to be built in the German North Sea.
The wind farm will comprise eighty 3.6 MW wind turbines, with a maximum rotor tip height above sea level of just under 150 m.
The plant will have a total output of 288 MW, enough to power 400 000 households.

€1-billion.
Duration
The commissioning of the wind farm is scheduled for the second half of 2014.
Latest Developments
The first of 80 wind turbines has been erected at the DanTysk offshore wind farm construction site.
Erection of all the wind turbines is expected to take about five months, depending on the weather.
The foundations for all wind turbines and the offshore substation have already been built.
