Copper Fox shelves BC drilling plans on permitting delays

TSX-V-listed Copper Fox Metals has suspended plans to complete a proposed 2 500-m drilling programme on its Eaglehead polymetallic porphyry copper project, east of Dease Lake, British Columbia.

The company is still awaiting a permit for the drilling programme, a delay which president and CEO Elmer Stewart says has been “extremely frustrating”.

“Since filing the NoW [notice of works] in early February 2022, Copper Fox has maintained contact with the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation on the status and has been advised that they are unable to guarantee a timeline on our NoW.

"Given the remote nature of the camp/drilling location, the need for helicopter support and the onset of winter weather conditions, regrettably, Copper Fox has opted to delay the drilling programme for this year," said Stewart.

The company reports that a total of ten drill holes have been relogged and previously un-sampled mineralised intervals totalling 175 m have been sampled and sent for analyses.

The mineralised intervals, ranging in length from 2 m to 45 m, consist of fracture and quartz veinlet-controlled chalcopyrite (bornite-molybdenite) mineralisation.
