The KwaZulu-Natal branch of earthmoving equipment distributor High Power Equipment Africa (HPE Africa) participated at the 2014 Royal Agricultural Show, which was held in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, from May 23 to June 1.

On display were Korean earthmoving equipment manufacturer Hyundai excavators, wheel loaders and backhoe loaders, as well as Korean manufacturer Soosan’s high-strength hydraulic hammer attachments. This equipment is designed for optimum performance in harsh farming conditions.

HPE Africa is the sole distributor of Hyundai earthmoving equipment in Southern Africa and also offers a complementary range of products, which includes crushing, screening and recycling equipment solutions provider McCloskey crushing and screening plants, MB crusher buckets, as well as Soosan hydraulic hammers and drills.

HPE Africa KwaZulu-Natal moved to its new 3 000 m2 premises in Mahogany Ridge, Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, in February this year.

“The company’s new KwaZulu-Natal facility carries a substantial stockholding of new equipment and also offers a spare parts, repair and field service facility. The KwaZulu-Natal operation, which previously operated from shared premises in New Germany, implemented a strategic focus on after-sales service excellence, which resulted in significant growth in business and the need for a larger facility.

“The new KwaZulu-Natal outlet has a full workshop, which is supported by a fleet of field service vehicles, enabling our technicians to attend to breakdowns at the HPE facility, at customers’ premises and on site,” says HPE Africa MD Alex Ackron.

He concludes that the company is well positioned to meet growing demand for reliable earthmoving equipment throughout KwaZulu-Natal – particularly in the plant hire, civil engineering, construction, agriculture, quarrying and mining sectors
