Company Announcement: The Honourable Perrin Beatty to Speak at PDAC 2013
Canadian Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Perrin Beatty will speak at the Innovation Luncheon at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) Convention on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Mr. Beatty will discuss the recently-released Canadian Chamber of Commerce report Mining Capital: How Canada Transformed Its Resources Endowment Into a Global Competitive Advantage. "We look forward to hearing Mr. Beatty discuss the insights of the new Canadian Chamber report on the mining sector. Convention delegates, members of the industry and the investment community will all find this talk of interest,” says PDAC Executive Director Ross Gallinger.
The report argues that while Canada has successfully transformed its resource advantage in metals and minerals into a competitive edge, the factors that made Canada the global leader in the sector need to be strengthened.
Ticket sales for the luncheon are open to the general public as well as convention delegates and are $70 each. Reservations for corporate tables are available with the purchase of a table of 10 tickets. To purchase tickets, visit: http://www.pdacevents.ca/annual_convention/delegate/tickets_register.asp. The luncheon takes place from 12 noon – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building, Room 718. The PDAC Convention is the mineral industry’s largest annual convention attracting over 30,000 delegates from 125 countries in 2012. The convention takes place March 3 – 6, 2013, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. For more information, visit www.pdac.ca.
