Following another successful Propak Africa, whjch attracted over 500 local and international exhibitors and more than 12,900 visitors, the organisers of Africa’s largest printing, packaging and plastics exhibition, are geo-cloning the event for the Kenyan market. Propak East Africa will be the first dedicated international industry exhibition that will draw upon the success of last year’s launch in Nigeria as well as the long serving Cape Town and Johannesburg events. Montgomery ECO, Montgomery’s East African division, stated that the industry was incredibly enthusiastic about the event. Business Development Manager Alexander Angus commented “Having spoken personally to all the African and international exhibitors, the interest in the event has been better than we ever expected. It is clear that our clients are greatly interested in the East African region and this event will provide them with a trusted platform.”
Alexander Angus continued, “With four events throughout Africa now, Propak is a trusted brand that is known throughout the continent and internationally. With that reputation and trust, companies know the quality that they get when they come to a Propak event which allows us to bring better visitors and exhibitors than anyone else. As a city, Nairobi is regarded as the hub of East Africa and is attracting large international corporations that are looking for consistent economic growth and a central location to export across Africa. Montgomery, with their partners ECO who are the largest and longest serving organisers in East Africa, now have a portfolio of events in the region. ECO, who also have experience in this sector, have a great deal of local knowledge of the industry which in regions like this one have been know to make the difference between success and failure.
Propak East Africa will run from 1 - 3 April 2014 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre and will attract 100 local and international companies.
