Willem Isaacks, the Deputy Minister of Mines & Energy in Namibia, is the latest government official to confirm his attendance at the Africa Energy Forum 2013, 18-20th June in Barcelona. He will join the Tunisian Minister of Investment & International Cooperation, Riadh Bettaieb, and Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, the Minister of Energy & Petroleum in Ghana. The 15th Africa Energy Forum (AEF) will take place in Barcelona from 18-20th June. Over 800 delegates are expected this international investment forum for Africa’s power industry.
Last year’s AEF in Berlin saw 120 CEOs and over 750 international financiers and partners in the energy sector attend to discuss the current challenges and opportunities for the growth and development of Africa’s power sector. Country-specific meetings at this year’s Forum will aim to give participants in-depth analysis of Kenya, Nigeria and Libya's energy sector, whilst a range of workshops offer the Africa energy sector a new perspective on important topics such as political risk, private equity finance, technological advances and public-private power provision. We are delighted that Libya’s Ministry of Electricity & Renewable Energy, General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Peter Kieran, Chief Executive Officer of CPCS Transcom and other experts will be participating at the Libya Spotlight session at AEF 2013 and offer an in-depth analysis of Libya’s power sector. Ten African Ministers are currently confirmed for AEF 2013. To view the full speakers list, please visit http://www.energynet.co.uk/event/africa-energy-forum-2013#tab-countrySpeakers
