Project Description
The project involves the addition of four new buildings to the current coatings manufacturing facility, representing about 9 290 m2 of additional production and laboratory space.
The expansion will incorporate ecofriendly building designs, provide natural light in employee areas, use intelligent lighting systems to maximise energy efficiency and incorporate water-recycling capabilities.
The additional capacity will enable PPG to meet increasing demand for its coatings from automotive original-equipment manufacturers, protective and marine as well as packaging and industrial customers in Mexico.

The project will cost more than $27-million to implement.
Duration
Construction started in March and completion is scheduled for 2015.
