The project involves the construction of a seven-turbine wind farm, with a capacity of 21 MW, in the Great Kei municipality.
The wind farm will be connected to State-owned power utility Eskom’s Chaba substation using 22 kV cables.

Latest Developments
Wind energy producer Innowind has tasked Germany-based Vestas to supply, install and commission seven turbines at the Chaba wind power project.
The turbine delivery for the wind project is planned to start mid-2014, followed by commissioning in the third quarter of the year.
The contract also includes the installation of VestasOnline Business's Scada solution, the full scope of civil and electrical works and a ten-year full-scope service agreement.
