Project Description
The Catalina solar PV generating facility, located in southern California’s Kern County, is the world’s eighth-largest utility-scale PV project.
It comprises 82 MWp Solar Frontier and 61 MWp First Solar PV modules and is expected to generate electricity for 35 000 homes.
The project includes an 11.6 km transmission line that connects the facility to the substation.
The project’s clean energy is supplied to San Diego Gas & Electric Company under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
