Project Description
The Cameroon LNG project will consist of a production plant located 30 km south of Kribi on the southern coast of Cameroon and will be supplied by a national gas transportation network connecting gas resources.
The liquefaction plant will have a production capacity of up to 3.5-million tons a year of LNG for the first train.
The project also involves the construction of a 270 km offshore pipeline connecting offshore gasfields in Cameroon to the LNG terminal.
The terminal will comprise one onshore tank of 190 000 m3, two 44 000 m3 liquefied petroleum gas tanks, one condensate tank of 60 000 m3, and a 1 650 m product export jetty.

The project is valued at about $2.5-billion.
Duration
The project is scheduled for completion in 2017.

GDF Suez and SNH are preparing to start front-end engineering design studies for their proposed 3.5-million-ton-a-year LNG terminal.
