Project Description
A definitive feasibility study (DFS) assessing Phase 1 green hydrogen production at the project has confirmed its potential to be a low-cost, early mover in the development of Australia’s green hydrogen industry.
The DFS forecasts green hydrogen production of about 4.9-million kilograms a year. This is an increase of 11%, compared with 4.4-million kilogrammes a year in the prefeasibility study (PFS). The increase in production is a result of a higher efficiency/load factor for the electrolyser, which has increased from 75 % in the PFS to 84% in the DFS. The project includes the construction of a 114 MW solar farm and 36 MW alkaline electrolyser. The project will have a 25-year mine life.
