Block KGD6 participating interests are 60% Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) – which is also the operator – 30% BP and 10% NIKO.
Project Description
The Satellite cluster is the second of three projects in the Block KGD6 integrated development. The three projects are expected to develop about three-trillion cubic feet of discovered gas resources.
The Satellite cluster is a dry gas development, comprising four discoveries and the development of five subsea wells in water 1 700 m deep and up to 15 km east and south-east of the producing D1D3 fields in KGD6.
The first of the KGD6 projects to be sanctioned, the R-series project, is already in the execution phase, with all major contracts awarded.
The Satellite cluster project will draw on execution synergies from the R-series project being developed.
