Project Description
A prefeasibility study has confirmed that the project will deliver exceptionally strong margins over the initial 32-year mine life. The project has Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant in situ probable ore reserves of 64-million tonnes grading 98.6% silicon oxide.
The project envisages production of 1.5-million tonnes a year from a run-of-mine production of two-million tonnes a year.
Total silica sand expected to be produced is estimated at 48-million tonnes.
The project will use simple mining and processing.

The project has an after-tax cash flow net present value, at a 10% discount rate, of A$231-million and an internal rate of return of 55%, with a payback two years.

A startup capital of A$39-million will be required.

The overall timeline for development, permitting and approval activities is targeting startup of construction in the second quarter of 2022, with the start of mining and processing operations in the fourth quarter of 2022.
