Industrial solutions provider and distributor Bearings International (BI) has supplied customers with total solutions for 64 years. Its extensive product range includes bearings and seals, chains and sprockets, electric motors and variable speed drives, belts and pulleys, gearboxes and couplings, lubricants and tools and field services. Being part of the broader Hudaco Group allows BI to offer its customers access to a more comprehensive product basket and value proposition.

To maximise this leverage, BI has successfully implemented a new business development organisation and management structure for a more focused approach to core market segments.
These include mining, agriculture, sugar, food and beverage, automotive, services and infrastructure, cement, pulp and paper, chemicals, steel and original-equipment manufacturers.

BI is a value-adding technical solutions provider and partner, assisting customers to improve their total cost of ownership on plant and equipment assets. BI distributes leading brands and works closely with its suppliers and the larger Hudaco Group to penetrate new market segments and geographical areas through innovative marketing initiatives. Apart from its extensive branch network in South Africa, BI is also unlocking opportunities elsewhere on the continent.

BI’s value proposition extends far beyond a customer’s core focus. It is a single point of contact for all its customers’ requirements, making them aware of everything it can offer. This is where BI’s focus on customer service and support is critical.

BI focuses strongly on innovation, bearing Industry 4.0 in mind. It plans to expand its product portfolio to include more ‘connected’ offers, especially in condition monitoring and analytics. Here BI has put its expertise to good use by going to great lengths to ensure that its product range and services meet the changing needs of its clients, industry and business.
