Bazobona is a group of inter-related com-panies, encompassing Bazobona Supply Chain Management and Bazobona Engineering, that was established over 3 years ago.
Bazobona Supply Chain Management
Based in New Germany, Kwa Zulu Natal, Bazobona Supply Chain supplies products to the mining, civil engineering and construction industries.
Bazobona Supply Chain monitors projects and tenders, provides quotes to potential contractors and offers in-house product training and on-site installation training to contractors.
Bazobona Engineering
Bazobona Engineering focusses on civil and structural engineering, water and sanitation, road design, environmental assessment, as well as architecture and project management. Bazobona specialises in the handling of multi-disciplinary projects, including a number of Expanded Public Works Programmes, super-vised by senior, professionally registered key members and sub-consultants. Bazobona Engineering aims to be one of the top leading civil engineering companies in the country, servicing the private and public sectors.
Bazobona Group supplies contractors, municipalities and parastatals with a range of products sourced directly from manufacturers, including:
- Gabion baskets - galvanised and polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-coated
- Reno mattresses - galvanised and PVC-coated
- Terramesh
- Geotextile or Geofabric
- Geogrids
- Geocells
- Drainage and sub-soil pipes
- Rockfall netting
- Erosion control material
- Road mesh
- Guard rails
- Various products for the built industry
Bazobona has supplied products for a number of big contracts, such as:
- Siripati Road in Durban
- N2 emergency works
- Construction of District Road 457 in Wartburg
- BRT Inanda arterial, Marbleray Drive
- New auxiliary lane on P6 Kwa Kopi
- Gamalakhe emergency works
With a turnover of R16 million and nine employees, Bazobona Group is a Qualifying Small Enterprise and is a 100% black female-owned, Level 1 broad-based black economic empowerment contributor to the construction industry, with a procurement recognition of 135%, approved by SANAS.
