  • BASF to present its innovative energy efficient solutions at South Africa’s 2014 Sustainability Week Conference and Exhibition
  • Plenary  speaker,  Dr  Dirk  Funhoff,  BASF’s  European Construction Competence Center Head, to address the issue of “Next Generation Materials”

Sustainability is firmly embedded into BASF’s strategy and organization. Sustainability management supports the company’s strategic principle “We drive sustainable solutions” and follows its corporate purpose – “We create chemistry for a  sustainable future.”  BASF defines  sustainability as balancing economic success with social and environmental responsibility, both today and into the future. BASF’s Sustainable Understanding is that the company is on a journey. For BASF, sustainability is core business and the company has implemented global standards for its value chains as well as with products that enable sustainable development.

BASF in South Africa will be showcasing its innovative solutions that drive sustainability during Sustainability Week 2014. This major South African sustainability event takes place at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria from 17-19 June.
