JSE-listed Barloworld on Wednesday announced that its automotive CEO Keith Rankin has resigned, effective May 31, to join one of the company’s key principals offshore.

Barloworld CEO Dominic Sewela said Rankin’s resignation has created an opportunity to consolidate and strengthen the automotive and logistics business under the solid stewardship of logistics CEO Kamogelo Mmutlana, effective June 1.

Mmutlana is an industrial engineer with 21 years of senior business executive experience in operations and management in various sectors.

Barloworld customer fulfilment services executive head Charl Groenewald will join the Barloworld executive team as divisional CEO for Barloworld Logistics Africa, reporting to Mmutlana, effective June 1.

Groenewald is a chartered accountant and has worked for the company since 1995.
