International engineering and technical services company Aurecon is hunting for a new CEO as Paul Hardy has resigned.

CFO Anthony McCusker has stepped in as acting CEO effective March 17.

Hardy, who indicated that change and renewal in a business was important, said in a statement that the “time was right” to step down, with the current board and leadership team well placed to continue to lead and grow Aurecon.

Hardy had been CEO since 2009, leading the company through the three-way merger between Connell Wagner, Africon and Ninham Shand, which created Aurecon.
