Artisanal fisheries development project (AFDEP), Sierra Leone.

Project description
The AFDEP will entail the construction of four coastal landing sites and ancillary facilities, and two inland fisheries development sites.

The project will include the construction/rehabilitation of fish ponds, water channels, reservoirs and buildings at the Makali and Bo stations; and the construction and installation of landing facilities, cold rooms, stores, generators, ice machines and buildings for fish processing at Goderich, Bonthe and Tombo landing sites.

A value for the project has not been disclosed; however, the government of Sierra Leone has received a loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards the cost of the project.
