Project Description
The project comprises a nominal net output photovoltaic (PV) solar generating facility of up to 125 MW, together with associated 115 kV and 500 kV switchyards and 115 kV and 500 kV gen-tie electric lines to interconnect the generation facility to the existing Hassayampa 500 kV switchyard and the electric transmission grid.

$550-million.
Duration
On May 1, 2013, the initial delivery of electric energy from the AVSE 2 facility was announced.
The facility was expected to achieve full commercial production by the end of 2013.
Latest Developments
In November, Fluor Corporation, the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, announced that it had achieved substantial completion of the AVSE 2.
In completing the construction work, Fluor installed more than 600 000 PV panels and pulled 1 829 km of cable.
