The plant will be established through PT Panca Amara Utama (PAU), a 60% subsidiary of SEP.
Project Description
The project proposes the construction of a 2 090 t/d capacity greenfield ammonia plant, in Central Sulawesi province.
The plant will use natural gas from the Senoro-Toili (Donggi-Senoro) gasfields located in the province. It includes the ammonia synthesis installation, an ammonia storage tank farm, a jetty to export ammonia, a power plant and other utilities.
Value
The project is estimated at $750-million.
Duration
Site preparation is expected to start in March, construction in October and project commissioning by August 2015.
Latest Developments
The project will be accommodated on 180 ha and PAU is expected to acquire an additional 20 ha, which are currently scattered within the 180 ha tenement, to form an industrial complex for future development. This may include the manufacture of downstream ammonia products.
