JSE-listed technology company Altron has appointed Stewart van Graan as executive chairperson and acting CEO, effective July 1.

In January, CEO Mteto Nyati announced that he was stepping down as group CEO of JSE-listed technology company Altron, effective June 30.

Van Graan was elected chairperson in July 2021 and has been an independent nonexecutive director of the Altron board since 2017.

“The process to appoint Altron’s next CEO is currently underway. To ensure business continuity and a seamless transition, the board has requested Van Graan to act as executive chairperson and acting CEO,” said Dr Phumla Mnganga, who was appointed as Altron’s lead independent director to strengthen governance, independence and objectivity on the board.
