Project Description
The project forms part of the broader effort to advance the Alfred (Advanced Lead Fast Reactor European Demonstrator) project.The new facilities will used to investigate thermal-hydraulic behaviour, materials performance and component qualification in liquid lead systems.

The project will include the design, supply and commissioning of a liquid lead loop-type facility and confined modules to study the interactions between liquid lead, and irradiated and nonirradiated fuels, during accidents.
