The project encompasses the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a combined-cycle gas-turbine power plant, with a total output of 1 642.6 MW.

The contract is valued at $1.05-billion.

Duration
The contracted schedule is 32 months from the date of issuing the letter of credit.

Latest Developments
A consortium, comprising Metka (part of the Mytilineos Group) and Shandong Electric Power Construction Corporation III, has been awarded the construction contract for the project.

The final details of the project execution agreement are still under discussion and will be defined to ensure an effective scheme in the best interest of the project and an acceptable risk profile for the parties involved.
