Africa Energy Indaba  (0.05 MB)

The much-anticipated Africa Energy Indaba, held in collaboration with strategic partners, the World Energy Council, NEPAD Agency and SANEA, kicks off on Tuesday, 19th February at the Sandton Convention Centre.  This symposium will ensure that key issues impacting the African energy sector will be addressed together with solutions to best mitigate these concerns.

This premier event has come at an opportune time in light of Total’s recent oil discovery, 175km off the southern coast of South Africa.  The Africa Gas Forum, an official side event of the African Energy Indaba,  will provide valuable insights into the recent gas condensate discovery will be revealed.

Now, more than ever, is the time to attend this premium event where attendees will be privy to the latest developments relating to this exciting discovery.

International delegates of the Africa Energy Indaba will deliberate and devise solutions to appease Africa’s energy access concerns. These high-profile luminaries represent the ultimate combination of industry experts, project developers, financiers, energy users, government officials and energy industry manufacturers, all of whom will share their experience and acumens of the dynamic energy realm of Africa.

Africa’s energy access concerns will be addressed via in depth discussions whereby applicable solutions will be unpacked. Discussions will include innovative financing solutions, disruptive business models, regional integration, the impact of digitalisation on the energy sector as well as potential business opportunities in the energy space.

Evolving grid technologies (e.g. micro, mini and off-grid solutions), renewable and cleaner energy solutions, energy storage and energy efficiency are among the other pertinent topics that will be thoroughly explored at the event.

The Africa Energy Indaba Exhibition is relevant to companies involved in showcasing solutions to alleviate energy concerns pertinent to Africa. This includes rural energy solutions, services for major energy projects, urbanization and energy needs as well as the implementation and management of renewable and sustainable energy projects.

The event will serve as a platform for participating exhibitors to prove their commitment to seek the necessary solutions to confront the challenges Africa faces owing to current and future energy demands. In addition, they will have the opportunity to promote their businesses to local industry players, international investors, buyers and governments worldwide.

Furthermore, the MarketPlace Business Matchmaking Programme is set to provide all exhibitors and conference delegates the opportunity to arrange onsite meetings with leading attendees, speakers, sponsors and investors at the event.

Considering Africa’s current energy concerns, the Africa Energy Indaba has presented itself at an impeccable time whereby key discussions emanating from this event will provide business growth opportunities for Africa's energy sector and inspire much-needed change in this space.

The event will function as the ideal platform to realise Africa's energy vision for a sustainable energy future and keep abreast of global energy competitors in this ever-changing energy landscape. The fastidious relevance of this year’s agenda renders the 11th annual Africa Energy Indaba the premier event for all that is energy and attending such a revered forum will serve as a valuable investment of attendees’ time.
