Established in 2003, multidisciplinary opencast mining company Zizwe Opencast Mining is a one-stop shop for opencast mining solutions, including geological surveys, drilling, blasting, mining, crushing and screening, materials handling, stockpile
management and truck and train loading. The company also provides rehabilitation services.

Over the past year, Zizwe has secured a number of contracts and agreements that are currently in place, including contracts with Glencore, Anglo American, Bauba Platinum, Pretorius Group of Companies, ASA Metals, Segorong Andalusite and Hernic Bakone.

This OSHAS 18001-accredited company is 51% black-owned and is proud of its competent and well-trained workforce of 660 employees. Through the commitment and dedication of Zizwe’s employees, the company’s fleet of vehicles, earthmoving equipment, crushing and screening equipment, and various properties are maintained to the highest standard in the safest manner.

Zizwe, a Level 3 broad-based black economic-empowerment company, values its relationships with its clients and strives to deliver according to their expectations.

Zizwe’s head office is located in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, with a regional office in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. It also has site offices in Brits, in the North West; Thabazimbi and Steelpoort, in Limpopo; and Burgersfort and eMalahleni, in Mpumalanga.
