The KG Rabada Fast Bowling Academy hosted a bowling clinic at the Berseba Multi-purpose Facility, giving budding pacers from Berseba and the Rustenburg Hub the opportunity to sharpen their skills and learn from experienced cricket coaches. The clinic brought together learners from schools in both towns as part of the Academy's goal of unearthing the next generation of pace talent.

Founded by Proteas quick Kagiso Rabada, the Academy supports young bowlers through development, coaching and training, with each Academy Day covering the technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of the game.

The clinic builds on the ongoing cricket development programme established through the partnership between Glencore’s Rhovan Mine and Bakwena ba Mogopa Traditional Council, as well as Cricket South Africa (CSA). Since the launch of the Berseba Cricket Programme, the initiative has continued to provide young people with access to structured coaching, quality facilities and opportunities to develop both on and off the field.

"Sport has the power to build confidence, develop discipline and bring communities together. Through our partnership with Cricket South Africa and the Bakwena ba Mogopa Traditional Council, we are committed to creating opportunities that help young people realise their potential. We are pleased to see the Kagiso Rabada Foundation further strengthen this vision by inspiring the next generation of cricketers," said Dunkeld Molapisi, CSI Manager of Glencore Ferroalloys.

His Royal Majesty Kgosikgolo Motheo Mamogale of the Bakwena ba Mogopa Traditional Council welcomed the initiative and its continued investment in the community's youth. The bowling clinic forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cricket development in the area, ensuring that young players have access to the skills, support and opportunities needed to pursue the sport while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
