Yolla 6 adds to BassGas production
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – The Yolla 6 development well has delivered its first production for the BassGas joint venture (JV), in Victoria.
JV partner AWE, which holds a 35% stake in the project, on Thursday said the Yolla 6 well had been successfully tied-in to export facilities at the Yolla platform.
“With Yolla 6 now in production and well performance in line with data acquired while drilling the well, we are looking forward to additional production from the Yolla 5 well, due to come on line in early August,” said AWE MD Bruce Clement.
He noted that the early unstabilised production rate from the BassGas facilities had now increased to some 57 TJ a day, following the addition of the Yolla 6 well.
The BassGas project consists of the Yolla offshore well head platform, connected by pipeline to gas processing facilities at Lang Lang. The Yolla 5 and 6 wells formed part of Stage 2 of the BassGas mid-life enhancement project, which would extend production from the Yolla field.
