Project Description
The project involves the integrated construction of production and storage and loading facilities to produce LNG, based on the hydrocarbon resources of the South Tambeyskoye gas condensate field on the Yamal Peninsula, in northern Russia.

The project plans to develop a 16.5-million-ton-a-year LNG plant with a capacity of up to one-million tons of gas condensate a year.

Value
The project is estimated to cost between $18-billion and $20-billion.

Duration
The first LNG train is scheduled for 2016.

Latest Developments
JGC Corporation in consortium with Technip have been awarded a contract to carry out the engineering, procurement, supply, construction and commissioning of an integrated facility for natural gas liquefaction for the Yamal project.

The project will start immediately with a phase of estimation, detailed engineering and early procurement.
