World Water Works, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of wastewater treatment solutions and representative Waste ‘n WaterTech will highlight the Ideal MBBR-DAF™ system at the 2014 BCWWA Annual Conference, May 3rd – May 6th, at the Whistler Conference Center in Whistler, BC Canada. Company representatives will be on hand at booth 3009 to discuss its wastewater treatment systems as well as recent installations.

World Water Works’ Ideal MBBR™ (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) systems leverage bacteria to remove organic impurities and ammonia from wastewater. The Ideal MBBR™ reactors contain free-floating plastic media on which a thin “biofilm” of treatment bacteria grows. The Ideal MBBR™ proprietary media is designed with both a fully open and protected surface area to assure unsurpassed performance at lower operational costs.  The media is 100% recycled providing an even more sustainable solution.

The Ideal DAF™ (Dissolved Air Flotation), like the MBBR systems, emphasizes high performance and high efficiency at substantially lower life cycle costs. The technology features proprietary designs such as Cross Flow, Progressive Water Extraction, and the Ideal DAG™ enabling the Ideal DAF™ to be the product leader in the industry. World Water Works’ Ideal DAG™ (Dissolved Air Generator) technology produces 5-12 micron “microbubbles” that allow the removal of very fine insoluble wastewater pollutants while consuming notably less energy than other technologies. Facilities upgraded with Ideal DAG™ typically report reductions in energy costs of more than 50%. In addition, the Ideal DAF™ systems are built with heavy duty, corrosion free materials that allow the systems to handle a wide range of flows and greatly increase longevity.

The combination of the two technologies, the Ideal MBBR-DAF™, represents one of the smallest footprint wastewater treatment solutions on the market.  Compared to an MBR (Membrane Bio Reactor) system, the Ideal MBBR-DAF™ is lower CAPEX and OPEX while delivering comparable treatment results. World Water Works’ Ideal MBBR-DAF™ process has been implemented across the globe with tremendous success in both municipal and industrial applications.
